Weekend Confetti Vol. 13

April 3, 2021

Welcome to Weekend Confetti!

Here you will find your weekly dose of interesting and merry miscellany that you didn’t know you needed to know.   I hope it adds some joy to your weekend!  Enjoy!

Happy National Find a Rainbow Day! What a fun sort of day to invent, right?

A short & fun explanation of how rainbows come to be. (Seriously, it’s fun! Watch it.)

There are a ton of ‘Rainbow’ Destinations: Hawai’i, North Carolina & Utah to name a few.

A once in a lifetime rainbow.

I know I get a little carried away sometimes, but RAINBOWS! They are so happy! And rainbows in nature are a beautiful thing.

But then there are manmade rainbows (and people do such clever things) ….

Beautiful art.

Displays of hope.

At home.

Or a whole house!

And you didn’t think we were going to move on until we mentioned rainbow bookshelves, did you? Seriously. Don’t you know me at all? (Wink.)

If you like that idea, you can actually BUY a specific color of book: by the foot. Who knew? I learn so many interesting things.

How are you doing on your New Year’s Resolutions? Need a reset? (Yes, please.) Look no further.

Or maybe instead you just need a break from people? (Also a yes.)

While you are relaxing in your comfy clothes, here are some style tweaks for the next time you put on real pants.

Or perhaps 1 or 2 (or all 35?) of these 35 Tiny Things To Do for Yourself.

Add some color to your Instagram feed with these happy accounts! No gray days here!

All the colors of the year for your house.

And for your closet.

This week’s Kindness Inspiration: For several years I have sponsored a child in another country through an international company. It’s easy to give the money, what I find more challenging is to write. She is so sweet and writes the nicest letters to me (which I’m sure is a component of being sponsored, but still). But I am horrible at writing back. So this week I am going to sit down and write her a nice letter. Money is sometimes the easiest way to help, but not always the most personal. I want to give her both financial support AND encouragement.

[Kindness Inspiration: a way of keeping kindness more intentional in my own life and hopefully inspiring you to do something kind in yours!]

Happy Easter and I hope you have a joy-filled weekend!
