Weekend Confetti Vol. 11
March 20, 2021
Welcome to Weekend Confetti!
Here you will find your weekly dose of interesting and merry miscellany that you didn’t know you needed to know. I hope it adds some joy to your weekend! Enjoy!
Today is the Spring Equinox! If you are like me and unsure exactly what an equinox is or why it’s interesting…I looked it up for us.
Here are a few ways to celebrate the beginning of spring. And a few ways the rest of the world does it. (Water, a cheese wheel and eggs, anyone?)
One of the most ‘popular’ ways to usher in spring is to spring clean. (I use popular very loosely.) The origins of the spring cleaning tradition are quite interesting.
Begin with a good checklist.
Some tips.
Swedish Death Cleaning. Seriously. (I loved this.)
You know what else today is? MR. ROGERS’ BIRTHDAY! I know! We’re never too old for Mr. Rogers.
A little neighborly history.
What we can still learn from Mr. Rogers as adults.
It’s a Beautiful Day for a movie. (Tonight. Me & Mr. Perfect. With popcorn.)
We all may not be as well-known as Mr. Rogers…but we can all be Famous. (This is one of my favorites.)
This week’s Kindness Inspiration: In an effort to be a better neighbor! I want to pick up trash around my neighborhood. We walk the dog daily, and of course pick up anything she leaves behind. But I have noticed, especially on trash day, that small garbage seems to be left around. I can easily tie an extra bag to Lucy’s leash and take care of that.
[Kindness Inspiration: a way of keeping kindness more intentional in my own life and hopefully inspiring you to do something kind in yours!]
And lastly, to put a spring in your step!
Hope you have a joy-filled weekend!
