Weekend Confetti Vol. 6

Feb. 13, 2021

Welcome, Joy Ambassadors!

Here you will find your weekly dose of interesting and merry miscellany that you didn’t know you needed to know.   Enjoy!

It is the day before Valentine’s Day, so it seemed approriate to share some lovely ways to show some LOVE!

We all could use some help learning to love a little better.

The World Needs More Love Letters. Seriously, it really does. (Here is a reminder of how to make those letters fun, in case you missed it.)

They say love makes the world go round…here is how to send some love around the world.

Here are a few things I am really loving right now:  this planner, these yummy treats (did I mention yummy?), this website.

If Valentine’s Day isn’t your jam or this year you just aren’t feeling it, go here to read some everyday stories about loving what matters. You will be inspired.

Maybe you need a little self care check-in.

Or maybe write a love letter to people who have forgotten about you. This made me smile…and remember a lot of people along the journey.

If you are looking for a good read this weekend, on the blog this week I shared 5 of my favorite books about love.

Or check out this book recommendation I found from @blackgirlbookstatour or this one from @readswithrosie.

You know what else starts tomorrow? Random Acts of Kindness Week.  I’m a big fan. And just like more love letters, the world needs a lot of kindness right now, dontcha think?

For some inspiration, you can go to the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation for an awesome challenge, a cool coloring page, and some kindness quotes to post in your social media accounts! #ExploretheGood #MakeKindnesstheNorm

My absolute FAVORITE thing is their Kindness Ideas page.

And if they don’t have exactly the right idea for you, check out my Pinterest board for my own collection of favorite kind ideas.

Let’s make the time to Be the Change we want to see in the world.

Finally, go be an awesome person filled with love this week!

Have a Joy-filled Weekend!!

P.S. Notes from last week: this WAS delicious and Queen Latifah did not disappoint.
